      Messy management. Relatively new company still establishing its own policies and infrastructure.

      Pros

      Freedom to influence direction of work in various mission areas.

      Cons

      Low contract/mission/corporate funding leads to making do with ends meet. Poor performance of corporate IT systems leads to detrimental negative impacts to employee motivation & productivity. In short, the hardware is bad. Lack of corporate data science strategy & structure.

      Nice people, very good connections with DARPA programs, flexible work-life balance

      Cons

      Deep learning based AI/ML is viewed as an option on many/most programs, but not given the priority it deserves in terms of roadmapping, internal resources, proposal development, internal R&D, and company posture. Also, proposal writing/winning seems to be elevated in importance much more than strong contributions to projects.
