Pros

Pay is decent, Benefits are ok, but expensive, decent vacation time

Cons

Long hours, hard work, crazy routing, loading of trucks is a mess. Tractors have cameras that watch and record your every move. Company pays by the load and they dont pay overtime. The biggest problem is the management, they're lazy, they lie and show favoritism to guys that kiss their butts. Also, sign on bonus is a scam, if you sneeze you will loose it

Pros

If you give up your life and sacrifice your body you can make 100k a year at Pittsburgh location.

Cons

Management does not care about you. They will try and be friendly and turn on you instantly. You start work from midnight to 5am and they will schedule you routes for 14hrs. There is no overtime pay at all. You work 5 days a week no matter what. Only holidays off are Christmas, thanksgiving and New Years but then you are required to work the following Saturday. Routes constantly have new stops and you will physically have to run. Product is all hand stacked on hand dollys and ran down rickety ramp to wherever customer wants. Up and down snow covered stairs in the dark. You are a number no one cares about you or your family. Management will tell you to reschedule your wedding the day before because they suddenly need you to work on a Saturday. Making peoples lives miserable is a game to them. If you get hurt they will treat you like a criminal and change your schedule everyday to try and force you to come back sooner even if you are hurt. If the warehouse doesn’t put an item on a skid they’ll accuse you of stealing it. There are cameras in the trucks and they will tell you they can only view them if you “set them off with a driving event” which is untrue they can pull them up whenever they want and watch what you’re doing. They did it to me. There’s times you’ll come in to run your route and the warehouse won’t have the trucks loaded and you’re expected to sit there for free and wait for hours and then run your route. They used to tell us not to log on so it wouldn’t affect our hours of service. If you did log in and then couldn’t get the route done in time they would leave you on the side of the road for hours upon hours waiting for someone to rescue you as some sort of cruel punishment. In the 10+ years in the trucking industry I’ve never worked for a more corrupt company. Performance foodservice aka reinhart foodservice Pittsburgh is the absolute worst company you can go to.

Pros

Consistency in monthly job duties.

Cons

Not much time to finish monthly close, leading to extra hours that will have to be spent at the office.
