Pay is not that great. Getting a promotion is really hard. I have not seen anyone receive one without having to do double the work they usually do plus have multiple bosses recommend them. And even then that promotion doesn't always happen. I recommend getting hired at the level you want cause it might be years of effort on your part to get a small promotion. Also those promotions don't always come with pay raises.
