All decisions are political

Pros

The rank and file workers are great, I made a lot of friends and connections there. The work is interesting, and I was able to do some fun projects with my peers.

Cons

No matter how well you do or potential you show there is no way you will get a decent raise or salary track. If you start off at a lower salary you will remain there. Business decisions are all political or financial. They attempt to standardize all business platforms for the companies they acquire regardless of whether it will work for the particular unit.

Pros

Interesting products, smart people, good locations, good benefits, good salary. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the people I worked with as well as the products. Very good training.

Cons

They constantly realign people and departments often forcing people into jobs they don't want to be in. When they change managers the new manager feels the need to make a change just for the sake of it

Pros

Flexible schedule, interesting work, good starting salary, good tuition reimbursement benefit.

Cons

Managers appear to have poor people skills. Few opportunities for advancement unless you are buddy-buddy with management. Crappy insurance that's expensive. Talentless BS-ers will get promoted over intelligent, hard working people. No profit sharing. Poor yearly raises. Little recognition for a job well-done.
