Pros

Company has decent benefits

Cons

Where to begin. Going into the company you get a sense of "community" with the cult like speeches, chants and odd set of "core values" which does not seem to be embodied. I worked in office and adored the permitting department. The permitting department is the best part of Perma-Seal and truly are hard working, kind and inspiring human beings, I can't say that about many others at this company. Sitting there day after day trying to get large amounts of work done in a timely manor was nearly impossible. Multiple times a day customers would be put on hold solely to be made fun and laugh at. These are clients in need of assistance with either an upcoming project, completed project or financing. It made me physically sick coming into work each day and listening to some of the nasty stuff that would be said about these clients while on hold. Its also not a good look for Perma-Seal when on the phone with someone and they can hear the swearing, laughing and mockery in the background, many times being asked about that awful, hate fueled noise in the background. I addressed it with the appropriate people (so did several others) but nothing was done. If you have a medical emergency or disability this is one of the worst companies you can work for. You will be judged and pushed to the end of the line in every way, shape and form. I’ll never forget the cruel looks received for an FMLA day, no one with a disability should have to go through that. No clear business plan/structure internally as cellphones, Netflix and internet shopping seemed to be a bigger priority. Took 3 months just to be able to get a meeting/appointment to talk about wage and pay increase (and another 2 months to see if anything is approved). I highly suggest you get other offers and consider them before committing to Perma-Seal. Very blessed that physical and mental health exponentially improved now that I’m not being exposed to such hatred. Life is too short to be overworked by a company that simply put does not care for it’s employees. And besides you don't want to work for a company where they pick and choose which jurisdictions to pull permits in, very shady steer clear.

The culture here is awesome. It feels great to work with a team that truly cares about their company and its success, those who work around them, and the customers we serve.

Cons

I wish I could work in every one of our departments. There is interesting things to learn in every part of our business.
