      Being able to work with animals hands-on

      Cons

      Very unprofessional! I was employed in a right-to-work state, and this company uses this to exploit their employees and to terminate them without cause. Every minority working in my store was fired inexplicably. I witnessed employees first-hand making up sexual harassment allegations to fire unwanted employees. Be very careful when working for this company.

      Pros

      Usually pretty fast paced. If you work in Petcare it is much more enjoyable because there are things to fill your time with. Management is very friendly. They prefer to hire from within, so you can really move up in the store.

      Cons

      There can be a lot of pressure to perform. Wages aren't spectacular. The store can be painfully slow at times. If you work in Petcare sometimes you have to play doctor with sick animals that we are clearly not qualified to care for.

      Changing, But Not for the Better

      Pros

      Corporate office has gym and daycare on campus and is located near a hospital, shopping and plenty of restaurants near by for lunch.

      Cons

      Makes a lot of promises, but doesn't deliver. Management makes people feel unvalued. Teams are understaffed. Heavy workload with unrealistic deadlines. Work environment is very negative and unsupportive. Company used to be more about people, now seems to care only about the bottom line.
