      Such great talent in the shop wasted by misguided senior leadership

      Pros

      Flexibility in work life balance; Level of responsibility entrusted to colleagues; Workplace is filled with smart colleagues who are highly capable and some how remain motivated despite it all.

      Direction and leadership is lacking; Sr Mgmt provides lip service answers to tough employee questions; Sr Leadership doesn't make the tough decisions to get us back on track

      Pfizer pay is commensurate with misery of working there

      Pros

      The pay is great. Benefits are great.

      Cons

      Employee morale is in the toilet. Management does not care about people below them -- they only care about people above them. There is no fairness nor respect for people which is made worse somewhat by upper management pretending that they care.

      Pros

      Management skills are so lacking that even an average manager could look like a Star compared to the existing leadership.

      Cons

      While the company was reaping the benefits of huge cash flow from its acquired drug pipeline it could get away with the underinvestment in leadership /management skills development. Not that the party is (almost) over, the firm is not equipped to handle the challenges ahead. Poor leadership and resistance / inability to change may have doomed this company.
