Pros

Over the past few months, there were increasing conversations around AI transformation and leaner engineering structures. I hoped my contributions would be enough, but during a recent meeting I was informed that my position was being eliminated as part of restructuring. The news was difficult to absorb because most of my time had been focused on deliveries, production fixes, and keeping systems stable. Looking back, I should have invested more effort into newer AI-assisted development practices instead of staying comfortable with familiar technologies. For anyone in tech right now, continuous learning is becoming essential. Standing still for too long can quietly put careers at risk. As painful as this moment feels, I’m trying to see it as a push toward better opportunities and new beginnings. I personally liked the process and that was a surprise for me. I would love to come back and work if there is an opportunity again.

Cons

The abrupt transition in AI has forced the Companies to a tailored budgets to shrink the resource cost and infrastructure.
