Great culture, nice people, laughter is common place. Honestly an amazing place to work. Top to bottom. As an Engineer, there was great balance between lab time and desk time. big company with a small company feel so things are still some what nimble. I enjoyed my time at Phenomenex. Highly recommended for anyone to work for them.

Pros

Those who go the extra mile on a project are often rewarded. Great perks and employee events such as off-site trips, skiing, fishing, camping, rafting, etc. throughout the year break the monotony. Special rewards are offered to individuals in a department who excel above all others. Very culturally diverse company. Anyone from any background will feel comfortable and fit in.

Cons

Due to economic cutbacks, large, company sponsored events are fewer and far between lately. Although not stated, there's an emphasis on staying late in order to get rewarded and/or acknowledged.
