Pros

Small team = close team. Good team environment. Friendly ethical workers. Small team = close team. Good team environment. Friendly ethical workers.

Cons

Wage is below average in Australia. Applying American wages to Australian workers, not taking into consideration the socioeconomic differences. Employees work at phenomenex on avg between 1-2 years.

Poor Management with staff on low pay pulling weight

Pros

Some lovely people work there, the colleagues are the people who pull you through some of the regulations and protocols that make no sense

Cons

Bullying is the norm and a culture here, the clique of management are all friends so if you have a genuine welfare concern, I wouldn’t expect anything to be done with it. There is training provided at the bare minimum with so many gaps left you are expected to just find things out yourself.. but when you ask a question please expect a sarcastic email because they are ‘better’ than you ever could be. Micro management on the things that are really indifferent to whether you hit targets or not. There is also no flexibility in work schedule when working from home highlighted that this was possible ... 8:30-5:30 in a shed in Macclesfield

Pros

Good training, nice/helpful colleagues, gets you out of your comfort zone through cold calling, makes you tougher, develops your communication skills

Cons

Micromanagement everyday. Calling board with minutes spent on the phone. 1970 selling style. Terrible location and building. Very bad pay. No room for progression. No development trainings. A lot of talking and no action. HUGE turnover - people come and go every 6-9 months. No investment in people. No flexibility - 8.30 - 5.30 everyday.
