Pros

Was once a good place to work to learn only if you knew the right people to go to. Health benefits and 401k were very good but have been reduced.

Cons

No team atmosphere; cut throat mentality. No support from management. No development plan for employees and no concern by upper management to encourage any plan for growth of employee within the depts. Manage by fear and intimidation. No accountability. Constantly managing at crisis level. Everything was micromanaged.HR worst dept; absolutely clueless in real hr issues. There is no work life balance as the amount of work was beyond imaginable.

Pros

Phly is an employee friendly company that motivates there employees through incentive type programs. If you’re a hard worker Phly will provide you with the opportunity to excel. There is also a Phly gym in the home office building as management encourages healthy living styles. Overall my experience working at Phly has been a great one. I would encourage anyone who is determined to be successful to strongly consider Phly.

Cons

There are no complaints as if there were I would have taking it to management and they would have found a solution to fix the issue.

Pros

Excellent health benefits, including free gym at Home Office and partial gym reimbursements at regional offices. Vacation time is extensive. I've experienced great commraderie with co-workers and the managment team. Ongoing education is encouraged and incentives include: tuition reimbursement, reimbursement and bonuses for insurance designations, and reimbursement for industry workshops and conferences.

Cons

Frequent re-organizations (including senior management positions, work "teams," and reassignments to different products and regions). While the frequency of these changes can be difficult and a bit frusturating, it does give the Underwriting team the opportunity to learn different products, regions, and work with different people. Salaries are a bit lower than industry standard, but benefits and educational opportunities make up the difference.
