Being outdoors - like the postal service - sun, rain, heat, snow, cold...you're out there.
They do not provide appropriate outdoor gear. So, if you're hot, get ready to sweat in you're polyester shirts and black pants! If you're cold, get ready to freeze in thin jackets! They do not provide you with hats/gloves/scarves; you're on your own there. They also don't provide a stipend, so you're buying that gear on your own dime.
Heaven forbid if your clothes do not fit their dress code. You will be sent home.
If your Service Score is down, be prepared to be sent home, be spoken to...
Management fails to realize that people can take their own, better photos for free, yet they make you feel awful when you don't take photos for a round because of that reason.
Promotions are a joke. Little pay raise for greater responsibility.
The PowerPoint shows are just that: a show.
You should make friends with your managers. Because, that's the only way you'll be acknowledged. Its like high school -- cliques galore.
The CEO is virtually invisible. He only recognizes managers. Sometimes. I worked here for years and met him once. He and other managerial staff will hide out and spy on their staff at venues, making sure you are doing your job. But they never approach you on it. Only the lowly local supervisor will say something. But it comes off as a passing comment as opposed to constrictive criticism.
Make one small mistake and they make you feel awful about it. Doesn't matter what your numbers look like, your on time record..
If you are dependent for a paycheck, then I do not recommend working here during the winter months...
Don't get sick, don't make personal plans, don't call out....they will give you less shifts. As they see you having the flu as you not wanting to work there. Grandma passed away? That's too bad; get your shift covered.
