Pros

Good learning for freshers and amateur programmers as well. Good teammates to help and guide (May vary according to projects).

Cons

Stringent deadlines, something crazy like quoting a 2-year project to be done in 2 months or so.

Pros

Not much pros, you get a place to sit, a PC to logon, get paid a salary, now which company doesn't do that?

Cons

If you are willing to sell your self respect and your family time for a few lakhs rupees, then you can join Photon Infotech. The work which will take 10 days to finish, they will give estimate of 5 days to the client, and after that they will force you to do it in 2 days. Some of the senior guys are expected to work on 3 or 4 projects at a time. So you can forget work life balance, holidays, weekend, family everything. Job security is zero, especially if you are a senior. Micromanagement is too much. They will even keep track of how much time you are going to restroom. Managers are mannerless, starting from CEO. They will use all kinds of filthy abusive language on you. I am sure that some day, there will a fist fight, and people will get hurt, it is only a matter of time. HR is totally useless, they will not address any of your concerns. Cafeteria facilities are hopeless, basic reason for it is that cafeteria vendor is also treated shabbily by Photon Infotech, they are not paid their dues on time. Because of common DLF food court on ground floor we can survive. Pay is kind of ok, but like I said before, you are going to lose your self respect and mental peace, so you have to decide if you are willing to pay that price. They will say about new learning opportunities, but all that is mostly hyped. There is nothing there which is unique in the industry. All other companies too work on the same technologies. Even after you leave Photon, sometimes they may say bad things about you to the next employer when they call for background verification. So your job with the next employer is also put in risk by Photon Infotech. I personally know ex-colleagues who have suffered due to that.
