Pros

1. Learn a lot and quickly

Cons

1. They negotiate your pay several times until you finally give up (called at street bargaining) 2. No work life balance - They expect you to work 24/7. I am serious, including weekends and after going home after regular hours 3. regular working hours in 10 and not 8 4. Consultants dont get paid for the extra hrs. if you demand, they will just let you go and give the reason as "performance not upto the mark" 5. Management is sick. Micro manage a lot. dont care about lower level employees and treat them as dogs/slaves. They talk mostly in local language (Tamil i suppose) 6. Those who fight back or take courage to speak up against the process are let go. 7. If you quit, they threaten to ruin your career, not give recommendation/experience letters 8. Upper management (CIO, CTO etc) only talk foul language to others.

Pros

Sure you can work on some big clients. But who cares when the rest of your life is horrible? Go work on smaller clients and be thankful you read this and got out before the pain began.

Cons

Terrible work environment. Slave-like work conditions. Epic level mean-ness you'd never think possible. Get out now. No growth opportunities. No training. No phones (for goodness sake) - pay for your own work calls! Travel during your personal time to clients. Accidentally damage your laptop, pay for your own repairs! No public holidays. Mandatory Saturday work days. Screaming abuse (literally) from management. Name calling ("you're all monkeys" is the best one). No interest in the quality of work you put out, just profit profit profit. Another favorite line from management "We only start judging you from 6pm onwards" i.e. they don't care less if you're good at your job, they just want to squeeze extra free work hours out of you, then only like you if you're here until 10pm every night. This place is literally out of the movies and should be in "Horrible Bosses" or something. All the positive comments you see here are becuase the offshore employees have been forced to write them.

You seemed to have mentioned some serious accusations with no actual data points. As mentioned by you, if you are currently an employee of Photon, we urge you to have a look at our employee benefit policies first before jumping into any conclusions. There are ample growth opportunities and training (technical and soft skills) available, which if utilized right will move any employee up the career ladder. We fail to understand how low quality work will be tolerated by the big clients as you have mentioned. Please reach out to HR Business Partner Team to talk facts.

Pros

Lots of projects with Fortune 500. HR works really hard, any 4 or 5 start review here is written by them.

Cons

Let me put this in a very simple way: these are bad people. Management's lack of empathy poisons the whole organization. Abusive language, micro management to the level how you show do the basics of your job and giving you no option but lie to the clients are some of the regular practices. This is an OFFSHORE company, and HR, travel policies and salary levels reflects that. If this is your first job, you think working for Fortune 500 is smth great, you are not good at what you do and you have daddy issues: this job is for you! If you live in USA please work for McDonald's, you will be happier and much more respected.
