Pros

Everyone is overall pretty friendly. Dog/pet friendly environment. Weekly lunches, snacks provided. Standing desk provided as well. Transportation/bus pass covered. A lot of smart, intelligent people. Leniency in working from home was nice pre-pandemic. Unlimited PTO.

Cons

Constantly shifting targets and lack of leadership/direction in marketing lead to poor use of creative & marketing teams. Stingy with educational resources for employees. Hard to get things done in an environment that prioritizes happy hour and leaving work early over getting out a product that employees actually stand behind. Toxic and cliquey work culture. Tenured employees become complacent and a baad fit for the company and shift roles when they should have left or been let go. No way to grow within the company especially when managers play favorites. Lack or transparency and respect for loyal employees when they are let go. Lack of consistent values.

Pros

The number one pro at PicMonkey has to be the staff. They're smart, kind and easy to work with. The office is gorgeous, many benefits like lunch on Wednesday, events, stocked kitchen etc.

Cons

As with any growing company, there are changes and growing pains. It will be interesting to see leadership step up and guide the company in the next couple. I'm hopeful they make smart decisions that drive the business forward. I give culture and values a 3/5 because culture is great-- values are muddled. I also give senior leadership a 3/5 because there's a lot changing and it's too early to know.
