Piedmont Newnan is one of the worst places to work

Pros

lots of overtime opportunities because there is NEVER enough staff. The hospital is brand new and pretty with new equipment

Cons

extremely political environment. Very poorly managed from top to bottom. Terrible human resource department. Most managers and directors are life long employees of the old Newnan hospital and are incompetent and unable or unwilling to advance into modern technology. Patient safety issues not addressed and handled in timely manner. No career advancement unless you are someone's relative or a minority. Just overall a bad place to spend your working hours. Pay is significantly better at other Piedmont facilities. Things are always broke or there is "a bump in the road" with EVERY single process from payroll (and yes, there are many employees who do not get their paychecks processed due to these bumps in the road and no one can seem to figure out why), to inability to get materials management to order and deliver the correct products in a timely fashion, to poor staffing and recruiting, to a HIM department that has a system that goes down nearly every day. Been in healthcare for well over 20 years and hands down, this place is the worst!

Pros

The benefits offered by Piedmont Healthcare are just as good as any other healthcare faculty within the state of Georgia.

Cons

Like every other company in American this company has shifted from that non-profit attitude to that of the BIG Business mentality.
