Pros

The benefit package offered was great. Good healthcare insurance. Two weeks paid vacation right off the bat. I feel like I was on a forward track and there was opportunity to move up. Most of the upper management starts as Supervisor and works up.

Cons

My boss micro-managed the hell out of me. Every single little detail he wanted done his way. It was overbearing. And long hours. It was not unusual to put in 70+ hours in a week and work Saturday and Sunday. I went 42 days straight once without a day off. It was better when I left that particular dept.

Pros

Most Team Members are conscious employees, & hard workers. Management is flexible with most issues. Respectable place to work if you work well independently, and are self-motivated. There seem to be opportunities to move about the company into different positions, if you find your current position is not a fit. Regularly promotes from within the company. Great fit for "young" Career Hunter with time. Good Benefits plan, and vacation plan. In- House Company members push for improvement to benefit Team Building.

Cons

Career wise, not sure about Pilgrim’s. The pay rate never supports the work load. Most of Pilgrims job descriptions lack an accurate account of the work load that will be required to effectively perform the job duties, from hourly labor to Managers. I have found that this company is very smart in putting people into placement with a higher skill set than required; eager to train the staff, utilizing the entire skill set with no compensation adjustments. Trend of the times, hire with the simple Job description, low wage, & before you know it you are preforming at a management level under an entry level wage. “STUCK” Doesn't appear to be a Corporate's priority to fairly compensate dedicated employees . Corporate hold not in house.
