Pros

Autonomy at the management level to run your own venue location the way you want. Good opportunities to work at some very cool and sometimes high-end hotels.

Cons

Constantly changing processes and programs, so it's difficult to keep up with the latest SOPs. Work-life-balance is verbally encouraged, but unrealistic in practice, as many venues consider managers to be on-call 24/7.
