      Pros

      Great environment, and coworkers. High value for safety. Easy work. Rotating jobs.

      Cons

      As a temp, they are seem to use you, then are done with you when no longer needed. you could be called on your way home and they will tell you that you no longer have a job.

      Pros

      Competitive salary and benefits Very friendly company culture I appreciate the local people here and find it to be a very collegial atmosphere Manager flexible and easy to work with, good work-life balance Colleagues are fun to work with.

      Cons

      Smaller crops get short shrift compared to the giants of maize and soybean. Benefits are not as great as they used to be with the realignment to be more in line with DuPont's benefits In my opinion, the overemphasis on maize has led to an "all eggs in one basket" problem, very much an issue now with the low price of corn.

      Pros

      Pioneer has a long-standing reputation of being an “employer of choice” in Des Moines, offering competitive compensation, good benefits, excellent career advancement opportunities and an outstanding corporate culture exemplified by “The Long Look”. There is a real sense of community at Pioneer; employees are proud of their company, support their team and are willing to put in extraordinary effort to do the best job possible.

      Cons

      A downturn in the seed business has resulted in numerous layoffs tarnishing Pioneer’s reputation for employment stability. A bigger concern is DuPont’s growing influence over Pioneer and the negative impact this has on Pioneer’s culture, growth efficiency and autonomy.
