Pros

Good size platform, generally good quality employees, professional. Generally good benefits and pay in line with the street. Should be around for a long time given conservative management.

Cons

Has lost the midwest culture of caring about its employees. Now like every other investment bank out there. Management lacks real vision.

Pros

Decent i-banking in specific verticals (Consumer, MedTech) Less pressure than other i-banks

Cons

Poor management Do not pay for performance, pay for a**kissing (how is this different than corporate America?) Poor people management from hiring to evaluating to compensating Only pay when confronted with competitive offers - a word to the wise: spend your time getting other job offers, not doing your job for Piper well
