Pros

The bankers in the Minneapolis office have a really laid-back attitude, which is unusual to find in an investment banking environment. Everyone facilitates your development and learning experiences, and takes concern to your growth, development, an work-life balance.

Cons

Long hours (inherent in the industry). HR and the senior bankers really stress the work-life balance, and try to follow new policies implemented regarding no work after 12pm on Fridays, protected weekends, etc. but it rarely pans out.

Pros

Nice people. Good reputation for research. Smaller company so you get to know everyone. Good learning.

Cons

HQed in Minneapolis so sometimes conservative for the people in NYC and SF and other big coastal cities. Pay is ok. Not as good as bulge.
