Pros

Team atmosphere. Opportunity to pursue dream of pitching in Major Leagues. Diverse workforce that tested personal skills and ability to communicate and meet new teammates annually. Traveling to different states/countries. Insurance benefits. Felt like the organization generally cared about your development as a person, off the baseball field.

Cons

Compensation was very low for hours worked, but to no fault of the Pirates organization. Minor League Baseball, in general, pays its players below minimum wage. Players know this before agreeing to play.
