Great company and people to work with. Competitive salary and benefits.

A lot of potential, but lacking critical follow-through

Pros

- Pivot definitely prioritizes fun! You may find yourself overwhelmed with the number of happy hours, retreats and events to keep track of. This does lead to making some great friends and expanding your network in the industry, which is a plus! - Company bonus - PTO

Cons

- There are frequent discussions, strategy sessions, brainstorming sessions, etc., that mostly lead to nothing. A lot of smart ideas are shared between teams alongside lofty daydreams and goals about implementing said ideas that all amount to nothing and get re-discussed about 6 months later. - Internal promotions and growth seem to be rare and difficult to achieve. - Classic case of a company that grew too fast, and forgot to support current employees during the process, leading to a disorganized and often toxic work culture. - Too many process issues and obstacles, sometimes impossible to move projects along in a timely matter.

Pivot Energy Response

VP People response: Thanks so much for sharing your experience. While I'm glad you were able to expand your professional network and make some great friends within Pivot, I understand you wish there were more. It's an understandably frustrating experience to feel that the ideas and strategy sessions you are part of didn't culminate into action while you were here. From a larger organizational perspective, we invested heavily in solutions to remove obstacles to creating processes and execution strategies. Some of the challenges resulted from rapid growth over the past few years, and we're focused on fixing that this year. Additionally, we outlined strategic next actions to support our employees based on feedback collected over the summer. If you're up to a discussion now, I'd be happy to chat to understand why you felt this way after you left and if there are potential learning areas for Pivot.
