Pros

If you are a person who wants to enter the financial industry, but don't have the experience or connections to enter, then this opportunity will give you that chance. You won't have the most rewarding job, and at times you will find it difficult to understand the systems in place. BUT if you take advantage of what this company has to offer then you will have a very successful career in this industry. You will receive: -securities licenses (6,63,7,65) -years of experience -understanding of different departments Despite work being difficult at times, everyone there is friendly. Don't be afraid to talk to others and make connections, you never know how they may help you in the future. In the end there will always be things that you hate at any job, just focus on your goals and the positive things you are receiving.

Cons

-Too much emphasis is put on who is at blame, causing people to try and cover their end. -Communication is difficult at times, making simple questions that should only take minutes take hours or even days. -Also very important- don't take things personally, the more you do the more difficult the job will get.

This is a great review and I really appreciate your honesty. Departmental interactions are something we are always working to improve and I agree that more taco days would be very cool. - Angel Sugleris, VP Human Resources & Facilities Management

It sounds like your experience overall was a positive one and thank you for your review. PlanMember understands how important compensation is which is why employees enjoy a generous package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance, a company 401(k) plan with employer match, supplemental life insurance, paid time off and holidays and more.

Pros

People are lovely here and fun to work with. Workload can be relaxed for the most part. Great opportunity to obtain financial licenses.

Cons

Underpaid position, work can become hectic when understaffed. Resources are out of date and processing can be annoying. There is not a lot of vertical movement.

PlanMember offers career training opportunities and prefers to promote from within whenever possible, giving employees the chance to advance. It’s also important to remember that lateral movement within an organization can provide new learning opportunities, especially at PlanMember where our products and services are complex and highly regulated. We encourage employees to meet with their manager and HR to discuss how PlanMember can help empower them. Contact us so we can further discuss your experience, we're always open to hearing the opinions of our current and former employees.
