Pros

The company offers great benefits and is flexible when it comes to maintaining a good work-life balance. Employees are friendly and open-minded and there is a solid sense of community.

Cons

Lots of office politics. Very ageist organization. Promotions go to friends or connections. Lower-level employees do the bulk of the work while senior leadership take credit and keep getting promoted. Not much room for innovation and independent thought. A great place for followers, not so much for people who want to effect real change.

Free games, swag, and other discounted PS related merch and devices.

Cons

Benefits and pay are sub par compared to other Bay Area tech companies. This makes PS talent pool subpar as well. Had to move out because it was a top heavy org, no upward mobility despite high performance.

Cons

No collaboration between teams - everybody is fixated on their own P&L. Mediocre people, who know how to navigate the intricate politics thrive in this environment, where as motivated people who require recognition of their talent leave. Pay is below market for most positions, therefore the quality of most of the staff is also below market. Overall reigning carelessness and covering the bare minimum. Feels almost like a government organization, both in terms of the abundant red-tape and the lack of engagement of employees.
