Pros

The perks are nice. The work environment is extremely lax. Expectations are low and there is little accountability. Middle management is mostly clueless so it's very easy to slack off during the work day. You will never get fired. If you are writing a comedy series or a comic strip about indifferent workers and clueless managers, this job could be an excellent source of material.

Cons

It is an extremely political environment driven by insecurity and paranoia. If you can tolerate being in the right clique, you will do okay. You will also do okay if you are indifferent about work and are just there to collect a pay check. It is not the place to be if you are a high-achiever. You will be seen as a threat by middle management, lose what little autonomy and decision-making power you had, and get criticized when your less-capable peers complain about you refusing to do their jobs for them. Most of the high-achievers have already left so what remains are lazy "lifers" and the naive who do not know any better (do a search on the "dead sea effect").

Pros

The environment is great. The employees are friendly, courteous, and helpful. Supervisor was friendly, courteous, respectful, and communicative. He attempted to relate and engage with you on a personable level and provide flexibility, support, and discretion for how you chose to pursue objectives, as well as feedback and resources for personal learning and development and encouragement to learn about different areas and departments of the company that might be of interest to you.

Cons

I did not feel there was a downside to working for the company itself. I had ample opportunity to learn the material and concepts that I was interested in even though they weren't directly part of my core tasks, as well as the opportunity to meet and learn from other industry workers who lent their experience and willingness to answer questions about the industry. The only issue that could have been improved was the occasional confusion over reporting of work hours as an intern, partly because they prefer you not to log hours overtime, and because new hire orientations can happen months to over a year after your start date.

Pros

Decent salary with annual bonus. Free games and great discount on Sony's game and electronic products. Good people around you including management.

Cons

Not the highest paid salary with small raise each year. Some free food but not every day like Google. Few employee activities.
