Gaming company culture and people

Cons

While other companies are being extremely flexible with their employees, letting them work remotely from anywhere, SIE is making a big deal about it and not letting people work from a different location (outside California). There is no flexibility whatsoever in letting people move to a different campus, for example.

Boss is supportive and fun to work for. Coworkers are team players. Benefits are above the norm.

Cons

Alot of unecessary processes that could be simplified. Processes need to be Audited.

Pros

The people you work with are amazing. Arguably the best part about working here. The benefits are also top notch if you're a full time employee.

Cons

Leadership lacks diversity. Heads are all older white males with the exception of 1 new executive hire. There's little opportunities for women here due to the ratio differences. During fiscal budget planning or quarterly budget planning, employees are on their toes because not only are there budget cuts, but that usually means the cuts will be coming from headcount. Expect surprise lay offs.
