The employees are outstanding: they top-notch at what they do, and also super interesting and have great attitudes. The atmosphere is relaxed, and we encourage each other to pursue and share our interests. The work-life balance is respected: we work reasonable hours and at the end of the day we all go home and don't read our emails overnight. The executives are honest and dependable people, and have earned my trust.
In addition to the business generalities, this is an extremely interesting place to work. Rather than offering the latest web-driven convenience service, we are solving hard technical problems that will transform prototyping and manufacturing in industry. It is hard to convey the satisfaction of watching CAD and math go in, and real-life solid metal parts come out. By the way, solving such a wide range of problems would not be possible without employing an unusually diverse group of minds and backgrounds for a company of our size, and we love it this way.
Cons
We want to hire only the best people, both in terms of their skills and maintaining our great atmosphere, and keeping our standards high has required patience while we work on solving big problems. (In my opinion as an employee, the tradeoff has been worth it, because of the caliber of people I am surrounded by.)
