Hard work for little pay off

Pros

You get paid every shift and you usually get to work with really cool people depending on which location you're at. I've made lifelong friends from Pluckers. You get plenty of experience working in such a fast-paced environment.

Cons

- Horrible clientele. You can bust your butt for hours, have multiple tables not tip, and management won't sympathize with you. There is no such thing as automatic gratuity on parties of 6+ either so you could have a 12 top for half of your shift with the bill coming out to $300 and get tipped $5. Guests and management get to treat you like poo for $7.50 an hour. You deal with it or get another job because you're disposable in the eyes of Pluckers - This company treated employees horribly during the pandemic (e. g. Raised wages for hosts/curbside workers and then lowered them again when they realized how much they were making in tips. Forced employees to come in prematurely after testing positive for COVID. Corporate employees got to work from home while everyone else was forced to go back into stores or lose their job but how else will they make money, right?). - Running duties, more specifically having to clean the RESTROOMS as a server who's in close contact with FOOD. Servers do not make enough to be doing all the extra side work and do every other part of their job effectively like deal with guests/food running, especially at the busier locations - You really have to fight to get a day off. They'll schedule you even on days you explicitly state you're not available and then it's somehow on you to find someone to cover your shift or just deal with it and work. Forget about having a life when you're working at Pluckers. - They keep opening up new locations when there's barely enough people to work at the existing ones. They don't even try to hide how money-focused they are. - CEOs are shady. Found out one of them made a huge donation to Trump. And asked for positive Glassdoor reviews.

Pros

My boss messages me and emails me all times of the day and night. Discussion is ALWAYS open anytime. They pay you money.

Cons

My boss is a bit hands on .. the money they do pay you is the lowest they can.

Worst job ever

Pros

None. Not a one. You may occasionally make good money… but at a big cost.

Cons

Horrible. Management was sexist and incompetent. No upward momentum unless you were having sex with someone important or just all around an awful human. Regularly schedule young people for 14+ hour shifts. Inappropriate tshirts like they’re hooters but if you have a tattoo expect to wear long sleeves in 110 degree heat while working on the patio because in Austin tattoos are “offensive”. Oh and the CEO has skewed some of these reviews by literally emailing his staff to write good reviews on here to make it seem like it isn’t the worst job ever.
