Pros

It was great at first. Generous time off, fun unique benefits and a good work-life balance. The longer I worked here, the more I learned about the company and how horrible it actually is.

Cons

Where do I start. Wages aren't competitive. My cost of living adjustment was 22 cents in 2023, meanwhile my rent went up $120 a month. They relocated 30+ positions from WA and CA to MI because they couldn't afford the west coast wages. Yet they still kept 3 roles in WA and CA. The company continued to do the annual tradition of climbing Mt. Rainier in WA STATE. So they can't afford to keep people employed in WA but they can afford to fly people out each year to climb the mountain. As if relocating positions wasn't enough to help keep the company afloat, they took away all unique benefits including the monthly treat yourself fund, book fund, 401K contributions and more. Even with all these layoffs and financial cutbacks, they are still planning on flying a bunch of people from Michigan to Texas in January 2024 for a meeting. Even though no one resides in TX and money is "tight" for the company, they can justify spending the money and flying all those people out of state for a meeting. The company thinks they're being transparent by communicating with everyone but they are extremely vague. There's a lot of talking but not much is actually said. The most ironic thing about this company is how much they talk about trust and how important trust is in a workplace. Then laying off a bunch of people and then continue to reassure everyone else that their job is safe, as if they didn't already clean house. Shady company to work for.
