Low Pay/High Turn Over

Pros

PG puts an emphasis on continuing education and self development. The people there are really great to work with and very talented.

Cons

There is a lot of turn over in PG due to poor management and low pay. In the Seattle office, you will be living paycheck to paycheck. PG hires educated, talented, driven folks but they are unable to retain them due to lack of internal opportunities, being over worked, and under paid.

We appreciate the feedback and are also sad to hear that your experience fell short of your expectations. While we do put a lot of stock into self-development and owning your career path, we know it’s sometimes hard to see what that path looks like. We’d welcome any ideas you have that would help us get better at this, feel free to contact us directly at pgfeedback@populusgroup.com.

Pros

The best thing PG offered me when I joined the company was training. I didn't have a lot of industry experience, and my peers and manager helped me tremendously. Since leaving PG, I've been able to take those learning experiences and apply them in my new job. PG also allowed me to grow personally. There is a lot of focus on having tough conversations. This is something that has not only helped me in my work life, but in my personal life as well. Tough conversations create better relationships and I learned how to have them in a respectful way.

Cons

PG is a young company, still learning and experiencing growing pains. While I experienced a lot of growth at the beginning of my employment, I needed to see more focus opportunities to get better and lead for employees who had been there for more than 1 year.

Pros

Decent pay. payment on time. payment every week. They have good recruiters to help find a new position when the contract terminates.

Cons

There is no fixed policy on salary hike. Once salary is decided, lot of effort needs to be put in for the payment increase.
