Really fine people. Excellent contract for adjunct instructors with the college putting 6% of their own $$$ into state retirement. When I left, I was making about $80/classroom hour=50 minutes

Instructors must pay to park on campus lots

Pros

Students are motivated and appreciative. Rate of pay and benefits are good due to the union really fighting for us. Great training/classes offered (no pay, tho) to increase pedagogy, diversity, etc. that help with student interaction, curriculum development, student success, and pad the resume.

Cons

Disconnect between management and part-time faculty (who teach 75% of classes). Big disconnect between compensation for Part-time vs Full-time, with little -to-no-chance for full-time opportunities.
