Pros

PGE is a great company to work for. The employees are some of the best in the Portland Metro area and many are involved in volunteer activities. We have great benefits and a leader in sustainable energy.

Cons

We are moving to position the company as a top leader in our industry so there are several changes happening in terms of technology. This can be challenging at times but the long term benefit will position us well.

Pros

A highly relational culture with a good CEO in a relatively stable industry.

Cons

A weak officer team that plays games with employees. If someone trashes you, you rarely get a chance to set the record straight. A culture of gossip rather than directness and fact. Posturing is common and it gets in the way of healthy conversations. And their competitive posture will soon be eroded due to innovations that will surely disrupt their monopoly. They are struggling with shrinking budgets as we speak.

Cons

Resources and leads refuse to help with difficult customers, you are expected to know everything and when you make a mistake lead supervisors cant understand why you do not know. They hire temp and weed you out, very competitive.
