Pros

Post's active nutrition division has acquired a number of good brands with some exciting product lines and excellent potential.

Cons

Leadership team in the Active Nutrition group seems to make changes in its ranks & structure with an [unusually] high frequency. As a result, direction and objectives seem relatively unfocused.

Pros

I can't think of any offhand!

Cons

I felt very good when I took a job with Post but that quickly changed after I started to get a feel for how things were being managed. The HR Director is the worst I've ever seen in my 30+ years of working; she tries to micro-manage everything and treats people like children. Ask her for help and you won't get any and she will tell you that you are wrong even when the evidence is clearly presented to the contrary and the kicker is that she doesn't understand the business. What a laugh! Amazing how poorly people were treated when they were putting forth their best efforts to effect positive change. I saw people blamed for problems that were clearly not their responsibility. WOW! Despite their very positive work environment message and efforts to turn morale around it's ruined by a couple of people that are unfortunately running the show poorly. If you want to experience a hostile work environment, then this place comes highly recommended.

Small Company Feel in Large CPG

Pros

Generally decent businesses in portfolio with ability to move between businesses laterally or vertically. Strong leadership and business decisions from Post Holdings executive team.

Cons

Not a lot of young blood - corporate headquarters for Post Holdings is in St Louis and remote opportunities for the holding company are not really available. The executive teams managing the underlying businesses themselves can be hit or miss.
