Disgusting expectations

Pros

I gained an incredible amount of knowledge and am grateful for that.

Cons

No higher ups know anything that’s actually happening ground level. This is a frat boy company for sure. If you are not in an upper management position you will not be heard. There is no HR department. It’s on the books but if you contact them nothing will ever be resolved. This company is a joke.

Great People Poorly Managed

Pros

Lifelong trauma bonds and free wine. Truly wonderful people, some even in management. Very unique and promising opportunities that fail to live up to their potential due to poor planning and communication.

Cons

It starts at the top. CEO acts manically and is rude, offensive, unprofessional, and inappropriate. Complete disregard and even disdain for work/life balance. Quarterly company-wide, Severance-like phone calls. Below-average pay and zero respect for employees time or contributions below management. Even then, hardly. As stated above, there is so much potential at Precept that it fails to live up to – whether it be indecision, poor communication, or arbitrary opinions from irrelevant parties. The 12 Precepts are a con in more ways than one.

Great Place to start, not so great in the long run

Pros

- Free Wine - Most people are really nice and friendly - Some company events can be really fun - Nice place to work for a short amount of time - Tasting rooms are decorated really nicely and have friendly staff - Head winemaker is one of the nicest and most intelligent people at the company, learn whatever you can from him

Cons

- COMMUNICATION, all of it, certain people are known there to never answer calls or emails, too many miscommunications, departments don't always work well together on projects. - Not much advancement unless you work in sales -Lots of work and not enough people in specific departments... there are only two HR people for the entire company. Hard for them to do anything about bad behavior from executives or anyone when there are hundreds of employees to look after - Lots of drinking during work hours, not just "tasting", people have full bars at their desks... - Not the most appropriate behavior from the executives and some tenured employees, extraordinarily awkward and unprofessional jokes, and lots of behind-the-back talk.
