      Great learning experience, but managers will take advantage of you and often make staff work extra while they are off

      Pros

      There are high acuity patients that the nurses must have a vast amount of knowledge. Many opportunities to learn many skills. Talk about nurses should take care of themselves.

      Cons

      Often the units are short staffed. The nurses are guilted in to or pressured in to taking assignments that are unsafe. Managers force young nurses to take assignments that are unsafe by saying that they will report the nurse to the Board of Nursing. Do not practice what they preach (Nurses should take care of themselves). Everything is punitive!

      enjoyed some of the people i worked with can use time card as a credit on purchases at hospital ability to trasistion in roles based on your skills

      management to lax , adding too many duties and expectations that are not realistic
