Pros

The pay, at the time, was above average for my age-group and town, and that seems to be consistent thing with Primark as a company now. Say if minimum wage across the UK was £13.30, Primark pays £14. Not significant, but helpful for a "starter" retail job.

Cons

There was a trend, or maybe requirement, at the time in 2022 through 2024, it seemed, where all part-time employees had to work 8hrs/week only, and fight for overtime to get more hours. Despite the decent pay per hour, the little hours became a hindrance to your earning potential majorly, and you'd end up making the same as someone who works less days (say, 3 days, 20hrs/week) and earns less an hour by the end of the month.
