Don't work for Prime! The positive reviews below are all fake left by home office employees, it's very obvious.
Pros
Better pay then working for a retail box store but no where near the industry standard. Getting promoted to manager with no experience is easy but that's because of the constant turn over rate. Most of the reps and managers are all fellow mistreated employees, so it's nice to build lasting relationships with them. Getting experience in the field, but don't expect to jump ship to corporate AT&T after realizing how you work harder and get paid less. That is unless you find another job for six months due to their agreement with AT&T.
Cons
Underpaid and overworked. Unrealistic goals for management, expect 50% year over year, this will kill your commission. Most of the company is ran by people of middle eastern decent who mostly are related so if your not one of them they will abuse you until you drop. Constant labor violations and class action lawsuits because they don't care what state they are in or what the law says, they will run their company how they want until they get caught. Stores are constantly under staffed. Many times I have worked a 12 hour shift without taking a break. Unethical, they want you to put extra features on customers accounts with out their knowledge. Their inventory is horrendous which costs you sales, they don't even want you to sell free phones on new activations which will also cost you sales. They have higher goals then corporate AT&T stores with less pay. They will threaten you, swear at you and talk down to you. They will put you in a dying location they just bought from mom and pops and expect you to be a savior for this said location and hold you accountable for things that are out of your control. They do not advertise at all. If they put you in a slow location you might as well start looking for another job. They expect their one good location in the area to carry the weight for their dying locations so even if you are doing a great job it's still not good enough for them, expect to still be mistreated. Company is very unorganized. Managers still have a individual sales quota even though they are responsible for running a store, hiring, conference calls, customer issues, training (because their is none) and everything else. This is to keep money out of reps pockets because managers get paid on the store sales not on individual phone sales like the reps do. You will never be paid for gas mileage as a rep or a manager. So those daily bank deposits you have to make or picking phones up from other stores or meetings add up. Their healthcare is a joke, most doctors have never even heard of it. IT can barely speak English. Their handbook is a joke they make the rules up as they go along. They will harass you with emails and phone calls when your not even on the clock. Be prepared to be home with your family not getting paid to work, even if your not salary. They lie to all prospective employees in interviews and promise them over compensation. Speaking of which their compensation plan changes constantly. Charge backs are very hard to track but if you do, half of the lines and features are still active which makes you wonder where your money really went. Company is very cheap especially with day to day operations. Pay starts at minimum wage plus commission. Imagine that pay in a slow location. Reps do management jobs from time to time but don't get compensated for it. Same goes with managers doing DM's jobs.
