Pros

Small privately held company with big ambitions. Owner was great man who engaged well with employees at all levels. Excellent pay and benefits.

Cons

CEO was from a large company and never appeared to fit well or adapt to small company operating in a vacation town. Vision was unclear and strategy was like a windsock in a tornado. Regardless of overall poor results this continued for several years until cycles of layoffs occurred ending my tenure.

Pros

Salary is okay. Initial commission bridge is fair.

Cons

Dishonest management. Dishonest direct manager. TERRIBLE CEO. there's a reason you're either a brand new hire or surround by people with 5+ years experience and no tenure in between. sales reps will be hired for half-baked projects and then let go a year or so later. this is a repeating cycle.

Primex has been challenging, but rewarding. They've always treated me fairly and with respect.

Pros

Flexibility with work schedule. Work from home. Travel to some fun cities. Good base salary. Rich incentive compensation plan. Work/life balance is emphasized from management. People here are absolutely great; working with friends.

Cons

Travel is usually alone. Longer sales cycles. New products getting traction, but not closing quickly. High turnover among sales people. Not everyone is happy here. Small company, so everyone wears many hats; sometimes overwhelming for some.
