Not a place I could be at long term
Pros
Loved all the kids I got to work with and their families, great coworkers
Cons
Lots of instability, and very few opportunities for growth. There were several instances where I was told I would get a permanent position in a classroom and that never happened, which made it really hard to feel stable in my role. I also got injured at work and they made the workers compensation process a nightmare. They never gave me a list of providers to go see, even though it is written in the employee handbook that if you are injured they will provide you with a list of providers that you can go see to handle your workers comp. After that I gave them my doctors note that included my limitations with my injury and they didn't even try to help accommodate my needs, they said if I needed to I could just sit down so I wasn't walking around as much. Which is practically impossible to do while working in a toddler room, the only time you're actually able to sit down is maybe during nap time. There were also days where we were so short staffed where all of our 10 minute breaks and lunch breaks had to be canceled because management didn't want to help come into classrooms to relieve teachers for their breaks, but they thought that was okay since they provided lunch that day. That's only half the problem, yes your employees need to eat , but they also need their state mandated breaks, especially when they are working 8+ hours a day. Would not recommend working here to anyone.
