Pros

Spending time with the children

Cons

The franchise I worked for (League City at South Shore, Texas) made a killing on student tuition and didn't even pay their teachers a livable wage. I had to quit because I couldn't afford to work there. They also made no effort to help resolve a racism problem that was brought to their attention during my time there.

Pros

Great location, great families, and competitive pay for the industry

Cons

Unorganized, bad communication, incompetent Director, the Director calls and text on weekends/off days. Owners do not do what they promised and break Primrose policies. We are overworked with little to no support in the classroom. Although, the school is new and looks pretty families are being charged for way more than they are getting.

Pros

The curriculum outline offered is great, and having the resource as a teacher to ALWAYS have some sort of educational activity to offer the kids was super helpful. Cleanliness standards are HIGH and most schools have night cleaning teams to do the heavy lifting which is so helpful. Resource rooms if you have them can be very valuable.

Cons

Unfortunately, my center chose money over the children’s education and progress... always. Over-enrolled and under supported, teachers were left to fend for themselves to cram In the often-meticulous curriculum and the kids seemed drained. I loved having the curriculum as a resource, but strongly disliked being forced to jam the kids into a schedule, activity or project that wasn’t helping them grow. Also, resources and education/curriculum support was often absent. Again, varies by center.
