Beautiful campus - decent benefits and pay

Campus is beautiful Good benefits package Surrounded by some of the best and the brightest most people you meet are very nice

Cons

Parking can be a chore The difference in % of yearly increase between a high performer and a low performer is negligible in todays economy - there is little done to motivate employees to do better HR puts out policies for work/life balance BUT everything is at the discretion of the department you work for, so many of these policies are useless Experiences vary greatly from department to department depending on the management style of your direct department manager or chair - even job titles can vary based on the department Hard to advance unless you move departments or offices within the university - everything is done at a slow pace Central offices are run very differently than academic departments
