Pros

Many different types of research available and funding is usually (usually) not an issue for graduate students. Greatly committed to making sure people can progress in an academic career.

Cons

Professors are less concerned or are outright hostile towards looking at careers in industry. Social life in Princeton can be difficult, with limited options in the area for outside of work activities.

Pros

Good retirement benefits, great academic reputation, beautiful campus. Decent food in the cafeterias. Easy walking distance to "downtown" Princeton.

Cons

Red tape. Catty and rude office staff. Entitled undergrads we're expected to coddle. Isolated scientifically and socially. Crap health insurance. Retirement benefits would be excellent if they didn't take 3 years to vest. Seriously, Princeton?
