Pros

The PUAM is a formidable art museum for a college and has a great collection. The museum is continuing to expand, both in terms of collection and grounds, and reaching to other audiences. The staff is supportive, and curating for special exhibitions can be a good amount of work but also very satisfying. The student guides and the other docents are also very friendly and I enjoyed working with them enormously. You might need to work on weekends but that is only for events and you'd be glad to attend.

Cons

Some of us feel a little overqualified, but that is the situation in the job market in arts and museums. I'm glad to be heading to a role where I could do more as a curator of my period of art, but will definitely miss the students and the lovely atmosphere at Princeton.

Pros

A place for cutting-edge research and technology. Available resources for pretty much everything needed. There's less distractions in a small town and still within day-trip distance to the City.

Cons

Maybe a little bit on the traditional side in terms of culture, but that varies with people.

Pros

Best benefits package i have ever seen. Flexible working schedule and ability to get time off when needed. Princeton is a walking town with many places to eat, drink and shop on lunch hour.

Cons

Compensation is terrible. Unless you are a manager the money is not there. Also the HR department here is a joke. Many of the managers should be fired, but HR turns a blind eye when situations arise.
