      Great to work here when you don't want to work hard, and want to collect a paycheck every two weeks.

      Pros

      Great work-life balance, sometime a little more life than work especially with management. Very casual enviorment with less of the attitude and politics of other Wall St. firms

      Cons

      Poor compensation and bonususes are almost non-existant. Review are pointless and when it comes to bonus time senior managerment always seem to find money for themselves but expect you to understand that these are difficult times. Clear cronyism on all levels. Senior management is not the brightest by any stretch of the imagination, and junior expressing any ambition to contribute beyond their role is immediatley squashed.

      Pros

      pay and benifits, some of the people are ver nice to work with. There are a lot of good people there. The work out facilities are nice as well as the onsite places to eat.

      Cons

      in the current economic times its difficult to move anywhere in the company. I'm sure this is the case at a lot of similar firms. Working downtown des moines is annoying, traffic isn't fun. There are a lot of poliltics that need to be played at principal there, too much red tape that needs to be cut to get anything accomplished. It would be so much better if you didn't have to worry about every little HR detail with everything.

      Pros

      Great benefits, great people, and flexible scheduling to assist in the work/life balance. A lot of excellent resources provided to employees to help lead a healthy and prosperous lifestyle.

      Cons

      From what I have observed, it seems that males are disadvantaged at moving up to leader roles. The company really seems to go over the top in promoting women over men. Other employees that have been with the company much longer than me agree to this as well. I think more emphasis should be placed on the skill set of the employee rather than trying to fill quotas based on gender.
