Pros

I worked remote. That was the only pro.

Cons

I worked at PrizePicks part-time for two years, earning $20/hour while holding a Master’s degree in Economics. Despite consistent promises of advancement and opportunities for growth, they repeatedly passed me over for promotions. Management offered vague justifications and continually strung me along. Eventually, they eliminated my position. I applied for an internal Business Intelligence role, for which I had both the education and experience far exceeding the listed requirements. They sent me an assessment for evaluation. (They had a lot of trouble sending it to PrizePicks email which I think was not by accident). After completing it (basic SQL and Tableau), they told me they wouldn’t move forward with an interview—which, by company policy is mandatory for current employees. I had the assessment reviewed by a data professional with 20+ years of experience and used AI tools to verify the accuracy. It was done correctly. Still, I was denied so much as a conversation. It felt degrading and dismissive. To top it off, their internal software systems are clunky, inefficient, and just as unstable as the user-facing PrizePicks app. If that’s any indication of how they treat both their product and their people—believe it. I would not recommend working at PrizePicks to anyone seeking career growth, respect, or a professionally run environment.

Pros

Unlimited PTO Good Pay Some good people

Cons

Horrible work life balance, and there silent layoffs in this company. So much anxiety. A lot of favouritism. If you’re working remote, you’d feel very isolated like a fish in a bowl while others are working hybrid and they will always get more preference when it comes to growth.

Pros

Fun pro-sports atmosphere. Good people.

Cons

HR is is mess. Open enrollment is broken. You don't get your laptop shipped to you online. Petty micromanaging. Young executives don't seem to have enough experience to run a large orgnaization.
