Pros

- Great benefits package - Hire more based on personality that skills which really helps create a wonderful work environment with other co-workers - Chef is amazing cook and an even more amazing human being

Cons

It is a lot of smoke and mirrors. They have quarterly meetings to address how the company is doing and each time they say they are doing great and this and that but that is not the case. It is hard to help a company when they cant be open about the current state. They also under pay their employees and try to offset it with the benefits. While the benefits are good it is not enough to offset the low pay you get.

Regarding the cons, we are very sorry that you felt this way but we hope you know that any of our former and/or current employees are more than welcome to reach out to us with any advice or feedback on how or what we can do better. Because we know pay is always tough to nail down, every year we use a third party to determine our pay ranges based on the position descriptions that are provided by employees and their managers. We allow employees to play a part by updating their job duties and responsibilities on an annual basis. This ensures that we are surveying all position ranges based on accurate job descriptions. Pros

The people here are great and the benefits are outstanding.

Cons

The hours were long and the pay was low. Many of the benefits couldn't be taken advantage of because there was too much work to be done.

Pros

The facility, benefits, and perks at Pro Athlete are second to none. I haven't talked to anyone in the Kansas City area who has comparable benefits and perks that Pro Athlete offers. In addition to the perks, Pro Athlete has a culture that holds true to its core values and really creates a tight-knit, family oriented culture. Some of the great things that Pro Athlete has to offer are as follows: **Medical and Dental Insurance costs full-time employees $1 per pay period** **401K match up to 10%** **Unlimited PTO for salaried employees** **Paid time off for volunteering at local events** **Generous allotment of charity money provided to employees to donate to various charitable organizations of their choice** **Wonderful free breakfast and lunch prepared by our chef** **In-house gym access** **Access to a basketball, volleyball, and racquetball court** **Access to road bikes to take bike rides while at the office** **Access to a free personal trainer** **Access to a lap pool, hot tub, and sauna** **laundry service in the men's and women's locker-room** **Three rotating beers on tap** **On-site spa to include free massages, free haircuts, free pedicures, free manicures, and free massage chairs** **Tons of Royals tickets available to employees** **Employees have access to the company Uber account to ensure safe rides home after a night out** **$5,000 interest free home loan for a first home buyer** **Free Roasterie coffee in our coffee shop** **Local Pro Athlete houses near Zona Rosa that employees may rent for a weekend or during the week at no-cost** **Pro Athlete Florida house that employees are able to rent at a discounted rate and receive a free trip at the 5 year anniversary** **Allotment provided for employees to take job related courses or attend job related conferences** **Discounted product purchases and free product borrowing** *Free apparel** **Free access to company library** **Very flexible with accommodating employee's handling personal or family issues outside of work.** **Ability for an employee to create his or her very own career path based off of an innovative idea or suggestion** **Very fun company events and parties at fun places** Executive leadership is very innovative and always thinking of ways to move the needle forward. They never want to become stagnant and want to keep the company growing and moving forward.

Cons

The biggest con is that I hate feeling like I am constantly bragging when talking to friends and family about all of the perks at my "work". I am going to turn what some would consider a con into a positive. At Pro Athlete, we do run a little lean but as an employee in the early stages of my career, I think this is a huge asset for an employee trying to grow and build his/her experience. In a smaller company, we have the ability to wear a ton of hats. I am gaining experience within my department, but am also very involved in other aspects of the company that really allow me to learn the entire workings of an entire business. At a major corporate company with thousands of employees, I would be in a silo and confined to only the workings of my specific role; thus not gaining as much experience. Because we are a smaller company, there may not be direct advancement within Pro Athlete, but wearing a lot of different hats and gaining organizational wide experience, any employee at Pro Athlete can very easily advance into a higher position at another company using all of the things we are able to learn and be involved in. As far as pay goes, if we take into consideration our total compensation package, it would take another company to beat my current salary by about $15,000 to $20,000 to get me to my break even point as far as matching my salary. This takes into effect our 401K match, free health and dental insurance, free gym, free haircuts, free breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner, offer of charitable money, and any other perks/benefits that go into our total comp.
