Pros

Very respectable and honest company. Promotion from within. Job security is probably one of the best amongst the competitors. Many different locations

Cons

slow career and salary growth especially in high cost areas such as SF and NY. Salaries are based on a national avg so folks in Cinci get a good deal but not the ones that work in SF/NY

Pros

Worldwide reputation and seemingly respected in the world at large. Very much a "promote from within" company, so good if you can see yourself sticking within them for a long time.

Cons

Career progression seems to follow a set timescale and binary pattern (at each stage, either you're good enough to progress to the next level or you're not). Due to company structure (P&G UK is a distributor for tax reasons, and therefore not allowed to talk in terms of profit and loss per se) a vast majority of the financial metrics you will be using will not be relevant to the world at large.
