Pros

Cons

* Management style can feel overly hands-on and micromanaging at times. * Compensation discussions may create pressure, including concerns about salary stability tied to performance expectations. * Feedback from management is often very critical and may come across as discouraging rather than constructive. * Employee recognition and positive reinforcement for accomplishments can be limited. * Work-life balance may be difficult for employees who have commitments outside of work, including second jobs. * Office culture can feel unprofessional at times due to workplace gossip and a lack of confidentiality. * Leadership may not always have direct experience in the day-to-day responsibilities of the role, which can lead to frustration between staff and management. * The company lacks a formal HR structure, which may make resolving workplace concerns more challenging. * Overall, the environment may not be the best fit for employees looking for strong support systems, professional communication, and collaborative leadership.

Pros

You can say you work with the NY Yankees and the secretary will want your phone number for a wine and cheese outing.

Cons

I remember one year it was around 5pm and the news was blasting all over how we are expecting a huge winter storm predicting around 2 feet of snow. 5 minutes later the employees received an email stating: While we do realize that we have a storm approaching the area please note that weather is not an excuse for lateness or absences........any questions people as to what people experienced working at this shop...
