      Flexible scheduling Good (ish) pay if you put enough hours in Informative trainings

      Cons

      Shifts get taken fast so you have to be on it Overnights are boring

      Pros

      You can work as many or as little hours you want as long as you keep your 24 hour a month minimun It looks great on your resume You can easily pick up hours the day of the shift. Most of the houses have a staff snacks drawer. If you work for the year long programs, it is not as bad as the ADUs. If you pick up a shift within 12 hours of it starting, you get Premium Pay, and you also can get Overtime Pay If you work enough hours in the month, you will be eligible for Medical and Dental insurance It is easy to transition from a Relief Counselor to a Full Time Counselor

      Cons

      Relief Counselors make SF minimun wage = $15 Some houses, like ADUs, can be hectic Some staff members can be difficult to work with Some clients can also be more challenging than others

      Great opportunity to advance in my field and were very accommodating to my hectic school schedule.

      Cons

      A bit disorganized, high turn over rate so things were in constant flux.
